The highest population of the Basin is found in Lucknow (4,589,838) followed by Jaunpur (4,494,204) and Sitapur (4,483,992) and lowest in Pilibhit (2031007). The highest Urban Population of the Basin is found in Lucknow (3038996) followed by Sahajahanpur (594092) and Hardoi (541806) and the highest Urbanisation in the Basin is found in Lucknow (66.21%) followed by Varanasi (43.44%) and Sahjahanpur (19.80%).The highest population growth rate of the Basin is found in Kheri (25.38%) followed Sitapur (23.88%) and Pilibhit (23.45%) and The lowest growth rate is found in Jaunpur (14.89%) followed by Unnao (15.11%).The Highest Population Density of the Basin is found in Varanasi (2395) followed by Lucknow (1816) and Jaunpur (1113) and The lowest Density of the Basin is found in Kheri (524) followed by Pilibhit (551) and Unnao (682).The highest Female Population is found in Jaunpur (2273739) followed by Lucknow (2195362) and Sitapur (2108728)and The highest Male Population is found in Lucknow followed by Sitapur and Jaunpur. The study is based on Census 2001 and 2011 data, supplemented by estimated urban population figures for 2021.
