Abstract

This study evaluates the performance and risk characteristics of the SBI Large Cap Fund (formerly SBI Bluechip Fund) over the period January 2020 to November 2025. Using secondary data from official sources, the research applies statistical tools such as CAGR, Standard Deviation, Beta, Sharpe Ratio, and Expense Ratio to assess the fund’s efficiency in balancing risk and return. The findings reveal that the scheme has consistently delivered competitive returns with moderate volatility, outperforming its benchmark on risk adjusted measures. The portfolio’s diversification across financials, energy, IT, and consumer sectors highlights its defensive yet growth oriented nature. With a relatively low expense ratio and large asset base, the fund demonstrates cost efficiency and investor confidence. Overall, the analysis confirms that SBI Large Cap Fund is a suitable option for long term wealth creation, particularly for investors seeking stability alongside sustainable growth.
