Abstract

The philosophical understanding of the constructive political (le politique) establishes a shared space between pragmatics, discourse, and art, revealing the interaction between the visible and the invisible within poetic discourse. In contemporary thought, the political is no longer limited to power structures, institutions, or parties; rather, it is conceived as a constructive process that produces discourse, symbolic representations, and new forms of reality. This study examines universal (humanistic) intentionality and identitarian (belonging-based) intentionality in the poetic discourse of Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri, approaching his poetry from a comprehensive human horizon and a global perspective. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical method for the theoretical framework and a pragmatic approach for textual analysis. The study demonstrates that universal human intentionality emerges through speech acts functioning as performative and perlocutionary tools that transform individual experience into collective memory of oppression and marginalization. At the same time, identitarian political intentionality constructs a consciousness oriented toward both transformative action and future vision. The poetic discourse thus generates multiple political intentionalities mass-oriented, ethical, mobilizational, and documentary through which the latent political dimension of poetry is pragmatically enacted.
