Over the past two decades, artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed the educational landscape, emerging as a disruptive force in the classroom for both teachers and students. AI-driven technologies enhance the accessibility of learning environments, optimize administrative procedures, and facilitate personalized learning experiences, thereby enhancing their inclusivity and success. AI is employed to investigate its impact on higher education in several significant domains, including adaptive learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, automated grading, and AI-enhanced virtual classrooms. It explores the application of AI in data science, computer-aided design, and skill-based learning, illustrating how these technologies facilitate the acquisition of competencies beneficial in the professional realm. The chapter discusses the application of AI in accordance with India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes bilingual education, vocational training, and interdisciplinary learning. The role of AI in research assistance, career guidance, and continuous education is also examined. Simultaneously, critical subjects are addressed, including data privacy, digital disparities, equity, ethical challenges, and the significance of human interaction in education.
