The Basic Rheology Equation for Highly Viscous Non-Newtonian Fluids and Its Applications
Abstract
A new generalized rheology equation for highly viscous fluids is proposed, reflecting the dependence of shear stress on relaxation time and shear rate. Various analytical solutions are presented, taking into account boundary conditions, allowing for estimating the estimation of shear stress and effective viscosity of highly viscous dispersed systems. A general rheology equation for power-law fluids is presented. Practical applications of the rheology equation for estimating the effective viscosity of heavy oils and dispersed systems, taking into account the formation and destruction of coagulation structures, are proposed. Numerous specific applications of the new rheological model for solving practical problems using experimental data are presented. Comparison of the proposed rheological models with experimental data has yielded positive results.
