Abstract

Through the PREVAC/PREVAC-UP project, the following data are generated : clinical data (WP1); immunological data (WP1, WP2, and WP3); retention questionnaire data (WP5). Please find below the description of the concerned WPs : - WP1 : Randomized, placebo-controlled trial, in adults and in children, conducted by the Partnership for Research on Ebola Vaccinations (PREVAC) consortium in West Africa to evaluate the safety and immediate (1 year) and long-term (5-year) immune response of three vaccine strategies : Ad26.ZEBOV followed by MVA-BN-Filo 56 days later (Ad26/MVA, Janssen Vaccine), rVSVΔG-ZEBOV-GP (rVSV, Merck Vaccine), and rVSV followed by rVSV 56 days later. ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT02876328. WP1 associated data : Clinical data and immunological data (FANG and Luminex data). Database organization description documents available in the WP1 DOBDs. - WP2: Immunological substudy analyzes the immunogenicity of the vaccine strategies used in the PREVAC trial (WP1) and focus on T cell responses induced by the vaccines in adult population and on their middle and long-term persistence until 5 years after vaccination. WP2 associated data : immunological data. Database organization description document available in the WP2 DOBD. - WP3: Malaria and helminth infections substudy determines whether the rate of decline in antibody titer to the EBOLA virus glycoprotein induced by immunization with vaccine strategies used in the PREVAC trial (WP1) is influenced by exposure to malaria or helminth infections, measured by serology, over a period of 4-5 years. WP3 associated data: immunological data. Database organization description document available in the WP3 DOBD. - WP5: Empirical Research on Barriers and Facilitators to Study Retention in the PREVAC trial (WP1) identifies multi-level determinants of participant retention in the PREVAC trial to develop recommendations that will benefit future clinical research in resource limited settings affected by Ebola and other infectious diseases. WP5 associated clinical data: retention questionnaire completed by participants available in the WP1 clinical data. Database organization description document available in the WP1 DOBD.
