Spectral signatures of four bare soil samples in the 0.4 – 14 μm domain

This dataset includes spectral signatures of bare soil samples measured in laboratory using ONERA facilities over the entire optical domain: from the reflective spectral domain between 0.4 and 2.5 µm to the thermal infrared spectral domain between 3 and 15 μm. The spectral reflectances of 3 soil samples collected in France (two soils with clay loam trend and a river sand sample) and a substrate were measured. 5 or 6 water content levels were artificially provided. These preliminary measurements were done to define the measurement protocol and build the database of soil spectral reflectances for several SMC (Soil Moisture Content) in the 0.4 – 14 µm domain described in the IJRS publication (https://doi.org/10.1080/01431161.2012.743693)
