Data for "A rRNA methyltransferase Mrm1 regulates mitochondrial dynamics and pathogenicity in Magnaporthe oryzae"
Abstract
This dataset contains raw data from the study on the rRNA methyltransferase Mrm1 regulating mitochondrial dynamics and pathogenicity in the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae. Through gene knockout, complementation, and domain truncation analyses, this study revealed the critical role of Mrm1 in fungal growth, sporulation, appressorium formation, infectious hyphal expansion, and pathogenicity. The dataset includes: phenotypic analysis data of wild-type strain P131, mrm1 knockout mutants (Δmrm1-1, Δmrm1-2), and complemented strains (Δmrm1/MRM1); mitochondrial morphology observation images; polysome profiling data; Western blot data for Dnm1 and Fzo1 protein levels; and RT-qPCR gene expression data. All experimental data support the conclusion that Mrm1 influences mitochondrial dynamics and fungal pathogenicity by regulating the translation efficiency of mitochondrial fission-fusion related proteins.
