OECD countries patent data (2005–2020)
Abstract
this data is from the EPO’s Worldwide Patent Statistical Database (PATSTAT). We keep OECD countries over the period 2005–2020. Key variables include counts of IP5 patent families, PCT applications, EPO and USPTO applications and grants, Triadic patent families, foreign ownership of domestic inventions and the percentage of patents owned by foreign residents.
