Research progress of delaying aging and disease by targeting CD8+T cells
Abstract
CD8+T cell is a crucial cell type in aged immunity, and its aging process is closely related to the occurrence and development of age-related diseases, such as tumor, and infectious, neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. This review first summarized the aging characteristics of CD8+T cells, its technical supports involved, and CD8+T cell-driven the aged diseases. Furthermore, the therapeutic agents targeting CD8+T cells for delaying immunosenescence and risk reduction of age-related diseases were then presented. Our study will help to provide the theoretical and technical data on development of CD8+T cell-based strategies for prevention and treatment of aging and its associated diseases.
