Socio-cultural Issues in Select Novels of Peter Robinson’s DCI Alan Banks Series
Abstract
This paper studies socio-cultural issues as shown in the DCI Alan Banks novels written by Peter Robinson. The focus is on three novels: A Necessary End, Wednesday’s Child, and Innocent Graves. These novels show how fear, family problems, trust, community pressure, and emotional struggle affect people’s actions. The paper explains these ideas in simple words using examples from the stories.
