Abstract

Среди данных единиц в обоих языках отмечаются не схожие по своей семантике и аналогичные ФЕ со структурой предложения. the article analyzes the issues of the place and role of phraseological units with sentence structure in English and Russian. It is noted that the existing works on phraseology mostly explore phraseological units with the structure of a phrase. There are a number of terminological concepts denoting phraseological units. And FE with sentence structure remained outside the field of view of researchers for a long time. This includes sayings and proverbs. This is one of the subgroups of the studied language complexes. All the features of the structure and semantics of these units clearly show that they relate to phraseological units with a sentence structure. They are quite common in both languages. In English, their origin is associated with church vocabulary and works of art. In Russian, their origin is colloquial,. They arise in speech discourse. Among these units in both languages, there are differences in semantics and similar features with sentence structure.
