Articles for results, articles for interpretations: new ways of publishing scientific results
Abstract
Digital technology and the "open science" movement are revolutionizing scientific publishing. So called data papers offer an additional publication option, limited to methods and results, describing information deposited on dedicated websites: they would be more accurately called "results articles." However, their introduction leads to the idea of complementary theoretical articles that would contain only the interpretations, which are sometimes more time-consuming to produce.
