Abstract

The paper provides an in-depth analysis of global electronic waste management (EWM),with a focus on major challenges and issues, environmental and human implications, currentand potential futures research trends worldwide. To achieve this, the study analysed adataset comprising 342 publications that were published between 2014 and 2024, obtainedfrom the Scopus database, using bibliometrics, content analysis, and network approachmethods. The results analysed using VOSViewer, MS Excel, and Harzing’s Publish or Perishsoftware revealed that electronic waste management (EWM) is a crucial area of study. Theanalysis identified various themes and highlighted limitations in the literature’s growthwhile offering suggestions for further research.
