A Pathway between Social and Cultural Competencies and Organizational Performance through Sustainable Human Resource Management
Abstract
Global tourism evolves towards innovation, cultural integration, and sustainability. In an emerging economy, the purpose of this study is to examine how SCC, with the mediating role of sustainable HRM, enhances organizational performance. This study provides valuable insights and empirical evidence in Pakistan’s tourism industry. Data from 200 employees and 160 managers were collected using a convenience sampling technique to conduct a comprehensive quantitative study of this relationship. Mplus was used to study structural equation modeling (MSEM) in both direct and indirect connections among SHRM, SCC, and OP at several organizational levels. The findings reveal that there is a need to strengthen employees ‘competencies to enhance organizational performance. These initiatives are not only related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and global sustainability standards, but also encourage the culture of innovation and long-term competitiveness.
