Adhésion à l"Union Européenne et respect des valeurs de l"organisation: l"exemple Moldave
Abstract
While the Brexit inspires regret even among its supporters, many states, particularly in the Balkans, want to join the European Union. Such is the case of Moldova, which formally embarked on the accession process in 2024. In particular, membership requires Moldova to respect the values of the organisation, as set out in Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union. Such a requirement is neither without risk nor without consequence, and the question arises as to both its operational nature and the legitimacy, for a legal text, of referring to it.
