Abstract

The problem of optimization is an eternal one for civilization, with particular acuteness in the period of transition to sustainable development. To optimize this transition, the thermodynamic approach is applied. The main conclusions are presented, which emerge from the developed Sustainable Development Concept. Under the conditions of applying traditional technologies, renewable energy sources are relatively limited in the Republic of Moldova. Accordingly, it is demonstrated that for the period of transition to sustainable development, the use of nuclear energy is an imperative for the Republic of Moldova. It is argued that photovoltaic installations in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova categorically should not occupy arable land - urbanized areas are preferable for them - buildings, roads, parking lots, etc. It is emphasized that the subject of biomass should also be treated with great caution. It is demonstrated that "energy plantations" are absolutely inefficient for the Republic of Moldova. Cogeneration with the use of secondary energy resources is welcome for all methods of generating electricity. In particular, secondary energy resources should be used to carry out energy-intensive low-temperature dehydration processes - with an important synergistic impact.
