Abstract

The aim of the study was to assess the possibilities of acupuncture in correcting gastric secretion and motility, depending on the time of exposure. Materials/tools and methods used within the framework of the study - prior to the hospitalization stage, a study was conducted on 21 patients with hyperacidity and pain syndrome in the stomach. Acidity was determined by pHmetry. Gastric motility was assessed by continuous radiogastrography using semolina porridge and bengal-rose iodine 131. Study results. In the initial state, all patients were found to have a hypersecretory type (pH of the stomach body is 1.5 - 2). Moto-evacuation function was accelerated in 7 patients and slowed down in 14. Points of general, segmental and local action were applied - 14 sessions. With accelerated evacuation, the exposure lasted for 40 minutes, and with slow evacuation - 20 minutes. After treatment, a blocking effect was obtained regardless of the time of exposure - pH was greater than 2.0. All patients with accelerated evacuation noted a slowdown in peristalsis, and patients with slow evacuation registered different results, both acceleration of peristalsis and even greater slowdown - approximately 50 to 50.
