Particularities of qualities of will in people with addictive behavior

Addictions are a current problem that is becoming increasingly widespread among the population. Regardless of its nature (physical or behavioral), studying the components involved in maintaining the addictive cycle and in the physical rehabilitation of addicted people is a necessity. The volitional process is involved in the management of relapses, the qualities of the will providing a broader picture of the problem. The objective of the research is to study the will and its qualities among people who have a natural addiction (e.g. drugs, tobacco, alcohol) or behavioral addiction (e.g. gambling, pornography). The results are low and average in terms of researching the qualities of the will: initiative, responsibility, determination, independence, self-control, perseverance, vigor, attention, determination.
