Prevention and reduction of bullying in high schools: theoretical and methodological aspects
Abstract
The phenomenon of bullying represents a global challenge in the school environment, with negative effects on mental health, academic performance and social cohesion. This article proposes an in-depth analysis of the psychopedagogical and social conditions that can prevent and reduce bullying-type aggression in high schools. The article confirms the effectiveness of school anti-bullying programs, with average reductions of 15-20% in the frequency of aggression and victimization. At the same time, it is highlighted that the success of interventions depends on the combination of curricular components, parental involvement and coherent school policies. Methodological limitations, variability of effects and future research directions are discussed.
