The word in the public space: ergonyms
Abstract
Ergonyms represent lexical elements created to identify very diverse entities, such as names of associations, commercial spaces, terraces, cafes, services. All of these serve to orient and inform customers, to create a positive, pleasant and attractive image. Originally, the term "ergonym" was associated with a commercial activity, in English: ergo "work, trade" and nym "name, title". Special attention is paid to the formation of ergonyms generated by the development of agrotourism. The names of guesthouses, restaurants, bars with national specifics appear permanently and represent an original and interesting onomastic material.
