The Causes Facilitating the Commission of Offenses Related to the Fraudulent Acquisition and Embezzlement of Funds from External Sources

Crimes that refer to the fraudulent operation of external funds coming from the common budget of the European Union, or from external development partners, by those to whose management these resources were transmitted and entrusted for administration, are among the illicit acts of a criminal nature of increased relevance in the legal, social, economic and security environment of the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the accession process of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, and the faulty use of the means granted to the state or residents directly by external creditors, directly affects citizens and harms the entire European project from which the funds result.
