Abstract

Virtual communication is a recent phenomenon that appeared along with the rapid development of informational technologies, which has significantly expanded the possibilities of communication in general. It is mediated by digital technology, requiring the use of computers, mobile phones or other electronic devices connected to the internet. Virtual communication often involves multimodality, combining various forms of expression, described below, to convey meaning in a richer and more nuanced way. Virtual interactions can be classified according to synchronicity. An important feature of virtual communication is the possibility of anonymity, which can significantly influence the linguistic behavior of users.
