DOCÊNCIA UNIVERSITÁRIA: SABERES E PRÁTICAS DE PROFESSORES NA FASE INTERMEDIÁRIA DA CARREIRA
Abstract
The study focused on teachers we call REUNI Generation, admitted to federal HEIs during the expansion of public education. This is a generation of teachers with specific age and training characteristics, who are in the knowledge consolidation phase, between 8 and 15 years of teaching experience (Hubermann (1992), Day (2001), Day and Gu (2012), Tardif (1991, 2002), Marcelo Garcia (1999), Arroio (2014). The intention is to recognize the unique working conditions and the possible impacts they have on pedagogical practice. Methodologically, we support the study from the perspective of multiple cases (Ludke & Andre, 1986), analyzing the case of six participating HEIs. Here, we present the general context of the research and preliminary data from one of the universities, characterizing the respondents of the online questionnaire sent to all teachers who met the sample requirements. The partial data coincide with the theoretical contributions on the topic, but with variations related to the Brazilian context and its specificities.
