CURRICULARIZAÇÃO DA EXTENSÃO NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: ESTUDO DE CASO COM ESTUDANTES DE ADMINISTRAÇÃO EM UMA UNIVERSIDADE PÚBLICA DO OESTE DO PARANÁ
Abstract
This article analyzes an experience of curricularizing extension in the Business Administration program at a public university in western Paraná, through a case study in the Production Management II discipline. The activity consisted of the practical application of theoretical content in regional community organizations, using tools such as the importance-performance matrix, physical layout, and quality management. Ten projects developed by 23 students working in different economic sectors were analyzed, directly impacting nine companies and one educational institution. Non-probability convenience sampling was used, selecting participants who were willing to respond to the data collection instrument. Of the 23 students who met the criteria for having participated in the extension project that is the subject of this study, 12 responded to the survey. The results show that the integration of theory and practice strengthens students' critical and professional development while generating concrete improvements in the organizations served. The qualitative methodology, using content analysis, allowed us to interpret the contributions of extension to university education and its social relevance. This experience reaffirms curricularization as an important strategy for consolidating the inseparability of teaching, research, and outreach, expanding the university's transformative role in social reality.
