Abstract

The number of students with disabilities has increased in recent decades. Therefore, providing training in Special Education is urgent and necessary. Therefore, this article presents the Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, offered online. A qualitative, descriptive research approach was used. The course's pedagogical project and the initiatives implemented since its implementation were analyzed. The course has a 3,200-hour workload and consists of eight semesters. The Moodle platform is used for recorded classes, and a significant collection of material is available in scientific repositories. There are synchronous video tutorials with teachers, and assessments are differentiated, interconnected between disciplines through thematic axes, promoting integrated and meaningful learning. In 2025, the course will have 80 students enrolled in the Teacher Training Program (PARFOR - Equity) and 622 students entering through the Unified Selection System (SISU).
