Orlando revisitado.
Abstract
Katie Mitchell. Marta Pazos. Adaptaciones de Orlando. Abstract: Originally published in 1928, Orlando: A Biography stands out as one of Virginia Woolf’s most influential novels in today’s artistic landscape. This enduring fascination has found fertile ground in film and theatre, where adaptations have multiplied in recent years. In this article, I examine two such adaptations: one directed by British director Katie Mitchell, based in Germany (Orlando, 2019), and the other by Spanish director and visual artist Marta Pazos, which recently premiered at Centro Dramático Nacional (Orlando, 2025). My aim is to analyze, from a postdramatic perspective (Lehmann), the work carried out in these productions by both actors and non-actors (Kirby), focusing on three key elements: the use of Live cinema and Scenic poems, vocal performance and the treatment of corporality on stage. Keywords: Postdramatic theatre. Acting and Non-acting Theories. Katie Mitchell. Marta Pazos. Adaptations of Orlando.
