Abstract

Employee performance appraisal is an essential instrument for organizations to ensure that employees work in accordance with established standards and targets. PT BPR LSE Manggala has implemented a Key Performance Indicator (KPI)-based evaluation system; however, the previous assessment format was still general and did not provide adequate classification of performance results to support managerial decision-making. This study aimed to develop a more structured, clear, and practical KPI-based employee performance appraisal form that could be easily used by the organization. The research applied a qualitative descriptive approach through direct observation, interviews with relevant staff, and document analysis. The development process included redesigning performance indicators, improving the layout structure, refining the scoring system, and adding a classification of final assessment results. The findings show that the new system improved the clarity of performance indicators, increased consistency in employee evaluations, and enhanced the efficiency of performance data recapitulation. The implementation of the developed form is expected to provide a more accurate basis for evaluating employee performance and to support managerial decisions related to employee coaching, development, and promotion, as well as strengthening the effectiveness of human resource management.
