Abstract

This presentation contains 8 slides. The first three slides are refreshers on the position of the liver and gallbladder within the abdomen. The liver is the most cranial abdominal organ in contact with the diaphragm cranially. On the left, the liver is cranial to the stomach and spleen. On the right, the liver is cranial to the stomach/pylorus, duodenum, and right kidney. The gallbladder is positioned on the right side of the liver. The caudal vena cava and portal vein are also slightly right sided. The position of the liver and gallbladder is then illustrated on ultrasonographic still images and videos.
