Abstract

This presentation contains 9 slides. The first two slides are refreshers on the position of the adrenal glands within the abdomen. Both adrenal glands are in the retroperitoneum, dorsally in the abdomen. The left adrenal gland is along the left lateral aspect of the aorta, medial to the left kidney and cranial to the left renal artery. The right adrenal gland is in close contact with the right lateral aspect of the caudal vena cava, medial to the right kidney and cranial to the right renal vein. The position of the adrenal glands is then illustrated on ultrasonographic still images and videos.
