Abstract

This repository contains data, custom files, and outputs from experiments and analyses for studying the origin and evolution of seasonal coat color polymorphism in the least weasel (Mustela nivalis). All the data were used for or produced in the following research paper:Miranda et al. (2026). Balanced polymorphism underlies long-standing adaptation for seasonal camouflage in the least weasel. Communications Biology, 9:769. DOI:10.1038/s42003-026-09937-9Further details on the context of the code and files are provided in the original manuscript and accompanying READ_ME.txt files.Custom code is also deposited on a dedicated GitHub repository.
