Abstract

The supporting data files contain reconstructed Lake Baikal paleotemperatures from brGDGTs, brGDGT concentrations and distributions, iGDGT concentrations and distributions, n-alkane concentrations, distributions, and if applicable the biome inferred from the n-alkane distributions, pollen-derived dominant biomes and plant functional type scores, the BDP-96 composite magnetic susceptibility profile, BDP-96-1 magnetic susceptibility aligned to the composite section, sponge spicule occurrences in Lake Baikal sediments, compiled Early Pleistocene vegetation data, compiled Late Pliocene vegetation data, metadata for sea surface temperature records used in our Late Neogene Global Mean Surface Temperature Stack, and the Late Neogene Global Mean Surface Temperature stack.
