Abstract

The dataset stored contains the data associated with the manuscript Recovering European river invertebrate communities homogenize or differentiate depending on anthropogenic stress. Details on the analyses can be found in the Methods section of the manuscript.Six distinct datasets are included and described as follows:Beta diversity by basin and year.csv contains taxonomic and trait beta-diversity indices calculated for each basin and sampling year.Diversity indices by site and year.csv contains taxonomic and trait alpha-diversity indices calculated for each site and sampling year.Environmental data per site and year.csv contains values for environmental variables, including latitude and longitude, ecological quality (eqr), land cover, and temperature slopes estimated for each site and sampling year.Ecopart.csv contains additive and subtractive components of beta-diversity temporal change calculated for each basin and sampling year.Ecopart Biological traits.csv contains additive and subtractive components of beta-diversity temporal change calculated for each biological trait, basin, and sampling year.Ecopart Ecological traits.csv contains additive and subtractive components of beta-diversity temporal change calculated for each ecological trait, basin, and sampling year.
