Data analysis

Data_analysis_codes.rmd presents code executed in R and demonstrates the package and syntax used for the analysis. It is adapted from Yanchenko, A. and Hoff, P. (2020). Hierarchical multidimensional scaling for the comparison of musical performance styles. Annals of Applied Statistics, 14, 1581–1603. https://doi.org/10.1214/20-AOAS1391The HMDS.stan file is a text file written in the Stan modeling language, which defines the probabilistic model used in the analysis. Stan provides a platform for Bayesian statistical modeling and inference, widely applied in data analysis, machine learning, and social science research.
