The pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic similarity of insulin aspart‑szjj, US-, and EU-sourced reference insulin aspart has been shown in patients with type 1 diabetes. Insulin aspart‑szjj demonstrated clinical efficacy similar to that of reference insulin aspart in patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and was generally well tolerated in this population. The tolerability, safety, and immunogenicity profiles of insulin aspart‑szjj were similar to those of reference insulin aspart. The role of insulin aspart in the management of diabetes mellitus is well established, and insulin aspart‑szjj provides an effective biosimilar alternative for patients with diabetes mellitus requiring reference insulin aspart.© The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025
