Abstract

This Figshare package provides the data and code required to reproduce the revised landslide-seasonality and causal-timing analyses for the Mediterranean study. The released data include a cleaned Mediterranean landslide inventory used for the circular annual timing analysis, together with processed region–season–year datasets used for the hydroclimatic causal analyses. These processed datasets contain the season-aware landslide timing outcome, hydroclimatic drivers including extreme precipitation frequency (ExtP) and cumulative 14-day antecedent precipitation index (API14), regional/static covariates, and seasonal circulation indices. The package also includes path-independent Python scripts to: (i) recompute the corrected Fig. 2 circular timing metrics and inter-period shifts on a September–August seasonal-year axis; (ii) refit the CausalForestDML average treatment effect models for ExtP and API14 effects on seasonal median landslide timing; and (iii) recompute the PCMCI routing diagnostics and Tables S3–S4 using the corrected season-aware timing variable. Reference output tables are included to verify reproducibility. The package is intended to reproduce the revised historical timing and causal-diagnostic analyses, and does not use CMIP6 projections to directly forecast future landslide timing.
