Abstract

This dataset is part of the study "Designing ecological corridors for connectivity in fragmented protected areas: a transferable framework to guide conservation policy." It contains the spatial layers underlying the landscape connectivity analysis: three landscape resistance raster layers (model-based, expert-based, and hybrid), their corresponding uncertainty normalized raster layers (model-based and expert-based), and the final network of 24 prioritized ecological corridors derived from the hybrid resistance matrix, delineated as 1-km buffers around each least-cost path and attributed with native forest cover, land tenure density, and management category (preservation, active restoration, negotiated private conservation, or incentive-based restoration). The resistance and uncertainty layers represent high-resolution spatial friction surfaces, allowing empirical species distribution models to be directly contrasted with structured expert judgment.
