Abstract

This record documents a community-based reflective writing methodology developed and facilitated by Dr. Joseph S. Spence Sr., Ph.D. The Inspired Reflective Writing Event was designed to examine how visual imagery can evoke reflective, imaginative, and spiritually informed narratives.Participants engaged with the cover imagery of Sincerely Speaking Spiritually through a structured facilitation framework emphasizing observation, inward reflection, sincerity of expression, and respectful dialogue. The event prioritized interpretive depth and reflective insight over technical literary performance.Twelve original reflective narratives were produced, demonstrating diverse symbolic interpretations, emotional authenticity, and contemplative engagement. The event affirms reflective writing as an effective interdisciplinary practice for creative humanities, spiritual literacy, and community-based educational scholarship.Related ResearchGate Record: This methodological research item is archived on ResearchGate with DOI: 10.13140/RG.2.2.19649.62568
