Abstract

Vaccine stability remains a major global challenge, especially for thermosensitive formulations that require cold-chain storage. Deep eutectic solvents (DES), a class of green, biodegradable, tunable solvents, have recently gained attention for biomolecule stabilization. This micro-article provides a concise conceptual overview of how DES can act as stabilizing media for vaccines by protecting proteins, antigens, and nucleic acids from thermal degradation. Their tunable hydrogen-bond networks, high solvation ability, and biocompatibility make DES promising candidates for next-generation vaccine delivery and long-term storage solutions.
