Data and code for: Tree growth response to growing season frost and drought is shaped by species traits and competition in temperate-boreal transition zone forests (Beisel et al., 2026)

This repository contains the raw data, derived datasets, and R scripts used to generate all analyses, tables, and figures for the manuscript titled “Tree growth response to growing season frost and drought is shaped by species traits and competition in temperate-boreal transition zone forests.”Data include tree-ring measurements, tree metadata, monthly climate variables, and neutron-probe soil moisture observations collected across the Western Larch Density Management study. Derived datasets were generated using reproducible R workflows and are provided in tidy CSV format.The repository also includes all statistical modeling and figure-generation scripts required to reproduce the results presented in the main text of the manuscript.
