Comparative Study of SilicaGel Copper and HMTA Copper for RhodamineB Dye Adsorption
Abstract
This undergraduate graduation project presents a comparative study of the adsorption performance of silica gel/copper and HMTA/copper materials for the removal of Rhodamine B dye from aqueous solutions. The study aims to evaluate the efficiency of each adsorbent in terms of dye removal capacity and overall adsorption behavior. Experimental adsorption tests were conducted under controlled laboratory conditions to assess the influence of key parameters such as contact time, adsorbent type, and dye concentration. The results demonstrated measurable differences in adsorption efficiency between the two materials, highlighting their potential applicability in wastewater treatment and dye removal processes. This work contributes to a better understanding of metal-modified adsorbents for environmental remediation applications and provides a foundational reference for future research in dye adsorption and water purification technologies.
