Abstract

This study reveals that specific immune checkpoint genes (ICGs), such as CD160 and VTCN1, are significantly downregulated during lung cancer progression, while others correlate with pulmonary inflammation and the presence of certain lung microbiota. The findings uncover key ICG signatures and highlight the complex interplay between the intratumoral microbiota and host immunity in the lung microenvironment, providing a foundation for predicting and tracking responses to cancer therapy.
