Fifty Years of Patchwork Physics
Abstract
We perform a rigorous variational audit of the last five decades of theoretical physics by applying the closed, self-consistent structure of the Universal Ψ Equation to the main frameworks developed since the 1970s. We show that the Standard Model, contemporary cosmology, quantum foundations, and effective-field-theory constructions rely on non-derivable assumptions, arbitrary parameters, gauge artifices, renormalization patches, and misidentified degrees of freedom. In contrast, the Universal Ψ Lagrangian admits no free parameters, no imposed gauge symmetry, and no interpretational ambiguity, thereby exposing the internal inconsistencies and redundancies accumulated in contemporary physics. The results imply that most “fundamental” theories since the 1970s describe emergent phenomenology rather than the underlying physics.
