Abstract

With the rapid development of AI-assisted programming tools, software development project management faces new challenges. This paper, drawing on the methodological approach of automation grading standards[1,2], establishes an L0-L5 six-level assessment system based on project automation levels, systematically defining the characteristics of each level with human intervention degree as the core dimension. The research analyzes the decisive impact of project types (Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) vs. pure software systems, safety-critical vs. non-safety-critical) on AI automation levels. The results show that CPS projects are inevitably limited due to their dependence on real physical environments, external measurement tools, and human observers, while pure software system projects have advantages in achieving high automation. This assessment system provides a systematic decision-making framework for project management.
