Genome-Wide Identification of MYB Gene Family and Specific Regulatory Roles of BvMYB38/BvMYB17 in Selenium-Mediated Salt Stress Alleviation in Red Beet
Abstract
This study focuses on the roles of MYB transcription factor family genes in sodium selenite-mediated salt stress alleviation in red beet (Beta vulgaris L.). It involves genome-wide identification of BvMYB genes along with their phylogenetic and structural analyses, as well as integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses to explore the participation of these genes in relevant metabolic and signaling pathways. Special attention is paid to the regulatory characteristics of key candidates BvMYB38 and BvMYB17 under salt and selenium interaction conditions, and their association with specific metabolites. Future work can build on these findings to conduct in-depth functional validation of the identified stress-tolerant candidate genes, which may provide insights for dissecting the molecular mechanisms underlying selenium-enhanced salt tolerance in red beet.
