FLASH USDT: Risk Management and Integrity Enforcement in Time-Bound Stablecoin Systems
Abstract
The rapid growth of stablecoin transaction volumes has exposed fundamental weaknesses in conventional risk management approaches, which often rely on external governance, discretionary controls, or post-hoc auditing. Such mechanisms are increasingly insufficient in high-throughput, programmable payment environments where execution correctness must be preserved under load, adversarial conditions, and temporal constraints. This paper presents a protocol-level approach to risk management based on deterministic integrity enforcement and time-bound issuance. Rather than treating risk as an external financial or compliance concern, the proposed model embeds risk limits directly into asset lifecycle logic, constraining issuance, transfer, and redemption through immutable batch parameters and non-reversible state transitions. By formalizing integrity as a system property enforced at execution time, the design reduces attack surfaces, limits systemic failure propagation, and ensures predictable behavior under stress. The paper focuses on architectural principles, threat models, and enforcement mechanisms applicable to high-volume stablecoin systems, and intentionally excludes jurisdiction-specific compliance mapping, which is addressed in subsequent work.
