Gravity as an Informational Boundary Condition in Perception, Measurement, and Structure
Abstract
This preprint introduces the Ghidan Axis Protection Effect (GAPE), identifying gravity as an informational boundary condition that constrains perceptual inference even under geometric symmetry. Using a minimal ambiguous cube stimulus, the work demonstrates that perceptual collapse is biased toward gravity-aligned interpretations. The framework integrates Bayesian inference, information theory, neuroscience, and foundations of physics, positioning gravity as a structural prior rather than a sensory cue. The work connects perceptual collapse to broader concepts of measurement and structure formation across scales.Version 1.0 – Preprint. Future versions may include experimental extensions, formal refinements, or responses to community feedback. This work is presented as a preprint and conceptual framework intended to invite experimental testing and interdisciplinary discussion.
