data/: Processed datasets and supporting inputs distributed with this repository. These include results derived from MCD12Q1, ESA CCI-LC, and GLC_FCS30D, including forest gain and loss fractions, daytime, nighttime, and daily LST effects, net effects, and land-cover-conversion-specific fractions and LST contributions. The folder also contains spatial boundaries, summary tables, and overlap_fraction/ data used in supplementary analyses and inset figures. Source datasets not included in the repository must be downloaded separately from their original providers before rerunning the preprocessing workflows.code/: Scripts for acquiring GEE-based land-cover data, preprocessing the three land-cover products, harmonizing land-cover classes, deriving forest gain and loss, preprocessing potential LST data, decoding vegetation transition codes (iTr), and calculating transition-specific LST effects. This folder also contains scripts for generating the main figures (Figures 1–3) and supplementary figures.
