Abstract

This paper introduces the Presence Memory Framework (PMF), a conceptual architecture for capturing, structuring, and replaying slices of human experience across time-space dimensions. Building on the historical evolution from photography to AR/VR and metaverse systems, we identify inherent limitations in current memory-capture technologies and propose a future-oriented method for extracting Presence—an emergent combination of temporal, spatial, motion, dimensional, and cognitive-emotional layers. The PMF outlines four patentable layers governing acquisition, structuring, re-injection, and replay of Presence Slices. Applications are identified in defense simulation, medicine, neural augmentation, and experiential computing. While beyond current technical capability, formalizing this framework provides a foundation for long-term research into post-camera experiential systems. Technical mechanisms are intentionally omitted to maintain IP protection.
