Supplementary material for the study titled "Novel features of Mycoplasma genitalium genomes identified through Oxford Nanopore sequence analysis of isolates from Australia", published in Microbial Genomics
Abstract
Mycoplasma genitalium is a fastidious human pathogen with increasing antimicrobial resistance, yet its genomic landscape remains poorly characterized due to difficulties with culture, including prolonged incubation periods and low DNA yields from both clinical and cultured samples. This study describes methods for sequencing for M. genitalium genomes, and the publication of twenty-two complete genome sequences. Additional analysis includes phylogenetic investigation and sequence analysis of antibiotic resistance genes. This file contains supplementary material for the publication.
